Important Installation Note for Tiles ⚠️
👉 When installing on ceramic tiles, it may be necessary to reinforce the installation with a suitable mounting adhesive.
Adhesion strongly depends on the tile surface:
✔ smooth, flat, glazed tiles → usually sufficient adhesion with the self-adhesive layer
⚠ textured, porous tiles or deep grout lines → reduced adhesive performance possible
➡ In such cases, we strongly recommend additional use of a mounting or hybrid adhesive (e.g. Pattex DK Flex 1000) to ensure long-lasting and secure installation.
Surface Requirements
For optimal adhesion, the surface must be:
✔ clean
✔ dry
✔ free from dust, grease, and oil
✔ stable and as smooth as possible
⚠ On highly absorbent or porous surfaces (e.g. untreated wood, MDF, OSB, chipboard, or heavily textured walls), adhesive performance may be reduced.
➡ In such cases, additional installation with a suitable mounting adhesive is recommended.
