Important note for installation on tiles ⚠️
👉 When installing on ceramic tiles, additional fixing with a professional монтаж adhesive may be required.
Adhesion depends strongly on the type of tiles:
✔ smooth, flat, glazed tiles → usually sufficient adhesion from the self-adhesive layer
⚠ textured, porous tiles, strongly profiled surfaces or deep grout lines → reduced adhesion possible
➡ In such cases, we strongly recommend using an additional suitable mounting adhesive (e.g. flexible hybrid or mounting adhesive) to ensure long-term secure bonding.
This information is crucial for long-term durability.
Substrate requirements
For optimal adhesion, the surface must be:
✔ clean
✔ dry
✔ smooth
✔ grease-free
✔ load-bearing
⚠ On highly absorbent or porous surfaces (e.g. untreated wood, MDF, OSB, chipboard or textured walls), adhesive strength may be reduced.
➡ In such cases, additional bonding with mounting adhesive (e.g. PATTEX DK FLEX 1000) is strongly recommended.
